The Sinclair will host rising country music singer-songwriter Cody Jinks on Saturday, July 1 at 9 p.m. with special guests Paul Cauthen and Sunny Sweeney.
Cody Jinks is touring in continued support of his latest LP, I’m Not the Devil, which he self-released in August 2016 with distribution by Thirty Tigers. The album, recorded at Sonic Ranch in El Paso County, Texas, shot to No. 4 on Billboard’s Country Albums chart. Along with the title track, I’m Not the Devil includes a cover of Merle Haggard’s “The Way I Am.”
Earlier this year, Jinks released a cover of Pink Floyd’s 1975 classic hit "Wish You Were Here."
Also on the bill is Paul Cauthen, Americana musician and Sons of Fathers co-founder. The Texas native released his full-length solo rebut, My Gospel, via Lightning Rod Records in October 2016. The album features the single “Still Drivin’,” as well as stand-out tracks “Hanging Out On The Line” and “My Gospel.”
Country music singer-songwriter Sunny Sweeney will serve as opening act. Sweeney is promoting her latest LP, Trophy, which was released through Aunt Daddy Records back in March 2017. The LP featured guest appearances from Trisha Yearwood, Jack Ingram, and Ray Benson on backing vocals.
Heartbreaker’s Hall of Fame, Sweeney’s debut full-length, celebrated its 10th anniversary earlier this year. The album, released through Big Machine Records in May 2007, spawned three singles: “If I Could,” “Ten Years Pass,” and “East Texas Pines.”
Tickets are $25 and are available here at AXS.com. Doors open at 8 p.m. This event is strictly 18 & over. The Sinclair is located at 52 Church Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts. For more information, visit Cody Jinks’ website and The Sinclair’s website.
